Our fifth unit of the year is a a stand-alone unit called "My Food Choices". The central idea is  knowing about our cultural identities can affect our food choices.  We will be working ont he concepts of form and connection. The lines of inquiry are: our cultural identities, our food preferences and the connections between our food preferences and our cultural identities. Our main language focus is country of origin, food (ingredients, taste) and utensils.

Our fourth unit of the year is a stand-alone unit called "My Dressing Style". The central idea is knowing our preferences, we can make personal choices on the styles of our clothes. We will be working ont he concepts of form and reflection. The lines of inquiry are: our personal preferences and our personal choices in clothing style. Our main language focus is clothes, accessories and using adjectives, especially color and pattern adjectives with nouns.

Dear Parents,

Our third unit of the year is a stand-alone unit called "My Family ". The central idea is there are different relationships in our families and each person can play an important role in our lives. We will be working ont he concepts of form, connection and causation. The lines of inquiry are: people in our families, the relationships between me and my family members and the importance of family members in our lives. Our main language focus is family members, descriptive adjectives (to describe physical appearance) and the role they play in our life.

Our second unit of the year is a stand-alone unit called "Me and my pets". The central idea is knowing how to take care of our pets help us to be responsible humans. We will be working ont he concepts of form and responsibility. The lines of inquiry are: the pets we have and being responsible for our pets. Our main language focus is learning about animal names.

Dear Parents,
Our first unit of the year is an integrated unit called “Healthy Habits”. The central idea is about making balanced choices that affect our well-being. We will be working on the concepts of form and responsibility. The lines of inquiry are: the types of food that are necessary to be healthy and making balanced choices and how do they affect us. In this unit, your child will learn about vocabulary and sentence patterns to describe their daily meals, food choices and how do those choices affect their health.
